Layer 2 loops

i am wondering how to detect layer 2 loops in a network, can somebody help me out the way to detect layer 2 loop in the network...

Spanning tree protocol(STP) will detect and prevent layer 2 loops. If you have STP enabled you can use show commands to tell you which ports are being blocked to prevent loops.
