I have a highly meshed network with ASR9xx routers. The configuration of ISIS (l2 only) includes
fast-reroute per-prefix level-2 all
fast-reroute remote-lfa level-2 mpls-ldp
on most but not all of the routers. Is it possible to have some parts of the network WITH LFA/FRR and other parts WITHOUT when the routers are in the same ISIS area? Or is this a stupid idea? If it is possible, how is the capability for LFA/FRR signaled?
