Logical interfaces for leased line

Hi...

I was wondering whether it is possible to connect more than one leased line to a single serial interface using logical interfaces like it is done with frame relay or ATM?

Or one has to have a separate modem and serial interface/router for each leased line?

Any feedback is highly appreciated

Thanks

You need to have seprate modem and serial interface for each leased lines.

The only thing that comes to mind is using a channelized interface where you can configure multiple logical serial interfaces and allocate your timeslots as you wish.

Have a look at the attached link if channelized i/f configuration is what you are after.
