Hello-

quick question.  we had one of our links (metro-ethernet) between our main and remote site upgraded from 4mb to 8mb but we still seem to be only getting 4mb.  Is there anything else on our end that needs to be done?  Thanks for any help.

Normally no, but if you have policing or shaping enabled you need to adjust for the higher rate.

It's also possible the MetroEthernet provider didn't implement the upgrade correctly.

Lastly, it's also possible however you're testing for the increased bandwidth it self limits itself, e.g. client whose TCP RWIN is too small.

we're not doing any shaping or anything so its either them or the test we're using.  thank you much!
