Hello.

I have a question. Does BGP send multiprotocol updates with usual IPv4 updates or separately? Coz I dont understand  MP_REACH_NLRI attribute. It is a part of usual BGP updates or separate update?

The packet structure for each family of protocol/NLRI is different for Updates. All are Updates but catering for different data structures.

Hi Volodymyr,

Each address family update message will be sent separately as their can be only one MP_REACH_NLRI AF type per update message.
