Hi Everyone,
I am trying to setup auto failover across 3 data centres primary, backup and dr respectively. I have clients connecting over a vpn. How to I ensure that the auto failover happens centrally as against having it done at the client location.

Is the clients connect to other site also using VPN ?
what kind of VPN is this ?

The idea is to have a site to multisite vpn setup where the main site has a backup and dr in place.
Clients would have to go through the main site to reach themselves.
Each client can either reach the main site via an MPLS VPN or IPSec VPN.
I hope I have been able to answer your questions.
Cheers

Best Practice in genral
Client should have connectivity VPN connections to other DC. DR, when ever you have problem with Main DC, you can do traffic engineering to route the traffic to where the Active site is.
you need to make some topology and think how you can do this, number of scenarios, worth include some local Profession services to understand your setup and suggest.
but still you can post here we can happy to help.

Thanks @balaji.bandi, for your time.
What I have in mind is to bring in an aggregator where all the clients would be connected to. That way, the clients are not aware of the 3 DCs. The aggregator will then handle the failover across the DCs in the event of outages. My main challenge now is that I need that aggregator to be highly available.
Do you think the approach I am taking makes any sense?
