Multi-Domain Multicast

Is there a preference to configure multi-domain multicast and is there a good reference to configure. For example, at lease three AS between source and receiver. MDT versus MSDP??

MDT or MSDP? I would personally say that MDT makes it easier as it allows to use SSM for both the default and data MDT, which alleviates the need to set up RPs, MSDPs across these different networks.
