Multicast Between 2 SVIs

Hello All,

I have two sites geographically separated and I am troubleshooting an issue with our sys admins. The provider of the service were having issues with said that multicast must been used between the 2 SVI subnets that each site has for our LFD's notice board service. I have attached a screen shot of the idea I had. I would like to use pim sparse mode on each of the SVIs, set the layer 3 Core switches loopback IPs as the RP, and add IGMP snooping for the respective VLANs at each site. I am not well versed with PIM at all. Would this topology be able to establish a neighbor? Will globally enabling multicast on these switches cause any problems across the network?

Thanks.

One site use as source and other site host as target ?

MHM

I don't believe so. Each site is its own source, RP, and destination. The Core switches have RPs (loopback interfaces) assigned that will be listening to the Source (SVIs on each Core), and the destination will be the devices connected to the Acc Switches. Thats the goal.

if that so why you need to connect both site?

each site have it source and target

make double check this point

I think I answered my own question here. Youre right. I dont need to have each SVI communicating via multicast from site to site. I just need each SVI to communicate through multicast in each of their respective LANs. The firewall policies allow multicast and the routing protocols on the Pop Routers are able to route the traffic from each of the SVI subnets between the sites.  As long as I do as I explained and keep the current routing and firewall policies, I should be good to go. I apologize for the confusion. I am still learning everyday. Thanks for your time MHM.
