Hello all, we had a module go bad in the N7K, I have a new RMA part here and will replace it tonite. I am wondering how to down this device? I havent seen it yet :) only remotly from ssh sessions. Does it have power switches? Is there any command I need to do before shutting it down? Thanks for any help on this subject.

Maybe they meant to power-off the module for some reason?
The data sheet confirms that OIR is supported for that module. I've replaced several modules and never had issues.

The 7Ks support OIR on all modules. There's no need to power down the switch.

The TAC person said to power it down before swapping out the module. Is this to keep the config ? I would much rather not power it down if possible.
10 Gbps Ethernet XL Module N7K-M132XP-12L
is the module involved.
