i have a problem with nat. we have a router where both inside static and dynamic nat and outside source static nats are configured.now my problem is we have 2 outside

interfaces(one primary link on leased line and another

backup link on isdn (floating static route configured with different interface ip than the l/l interface ) how can i configure them so that nat takes place even if primary link goes down .i have already tried by placing the command ip nat outside under both interfaces but this dosent works.

YOu need NAT with route-maps for dynamic NAT

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/tech/tk648/tk361/technologies_tech_note09186a0080093fca.shtml

and also NAT with route-maps for static NAT

!!!!!!!!!!!!!OOPS MADE A SILLY MISTAKE PROBLEM SOLVED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am interested in how you got this working

nothing special.... it works normally if natting is same for both outside interfaces just give the command ip nat outside under all interfaces(ie outside world ointerfaces) in my case the problem was at the other end those guys werent routing my public subnet from their router back to my network(and my routers public ip was different from my lan's public subnet.

sorry I am so late in responding. Got it working with route maps and matching interfaces. thx
