Rupesh
On an 802.1q trunk link all vlans are tagged with a vlan ID except for the native vlan which is sent without a vlan ID.
The reason for the native vlan is to provide backwards compatability with older switches that do not understand 802.1q.

Hi Rupesh is correct,
Just an addition,
for some reason
If you want, you could make any vlan as native VLAN by issuing eg. native vlan 5
Thanks
