I'm trying to simulate a PPPoE Server in my office and I can't make it to work. I'm not sure if I am missing something, so I badly need your help.
Here's the setup:
Cisco ISR4221 router is to be configured as PPPoE Server. One
ethernet port (GigabitEthernet0/0/1)
of the router is connected to the Internet source, while the second
ethernet port (GigabitEthernet0/0/0)
is connected to a Cisco switch that is also connected to 2 Windows computers (that will be used as
PPPoE clients).
My problems:
1.
PPPoE clients
can not
ping 8.8.8.8 or 192.168.150.1(Loopback0).
2. The
GigabitEthernet0/0/1 port
can not get ip address after cisco ISR4221
router reboot.
The
GigabitEthernet0/0/1 port
can work after reset cisco ISR4221 router to default.
Below is the router config:

Hi
I believe this config is not right:
"
interface Virtual-Template1
ip unnumbered GigabitEthernet0/0/0"
It should be
interface Virtual-Template1
ip unnumbered Loopback0
If I understood correctly,
interface GigabitEthernet0/0/0
is related to pool99 which is not part of the PPPoE config.
When you use the command
unnumbered
you will be borrowing the IP address from the other interface and on this case would make more sense the
Loopback interface.
And on the DHCP scope config for PPPoE, add a DNS server.
ip dhcp pool PPPoE_Clients
network 192.168.150.0 255.255.255.0
default-router 192.168.150.1
