My question is users  are rasining issues internet runninng slow .

I got a task from senior engg team check network performance in routers and switches ,

I have no idea to check network connectivity performance issues.

Can you pls hel meout

do continous ping for google.com and see for any drops and latency (time on the ping reply is higher like 1000 and above).....

and share the results....

Here is the result

Pinging google.com [173.194.36.1] with 32 bytes of data:

Reply from 173.194.36.1: bytes=32 time=317ms TTL=55

Reply from 173.194.36.1: bytes=32 time=334ms TTL=55

Reply from 173.194.36.1: bytes=32 time=310ms TTL=55

Reply from 173.194.36.1: bytes=32 time=309ms TTL=55

Ping statistics for 173.194.36.1:

    Packets: Sent = 4, Received = 4, Lost = 0 (0% loss),

Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds:

    Minimum = 309ms, Maximum = 334ms, Average = 317ms

It seems no issue with latency

That is a poor latency average - I am guessing that your WAN link is over-utilized.

Please post a "show run" and and a "show interface" from your router.

Hi Praveen,

This seems no issues on that....please check the same when you face slowness....

Are you kidding me? You think latency of over 300ms is normal? Where do you live? Neptune?

Please share the trace route results as well......

For Performance issue of Switch, Please share the Show process  output

for Slowness of Speed please share the show int summary..

and share the allocated bandwidth for u from service provider..

Hi Praveen,

Kindly check the output of "show process cpu sorted" & "show interfaces" from the devices involved when your receive complaints regarding slow browsing. This might help you resolving the issue.

Thanks & Regards,
