New 3845 router not taking default username and password

Hi,

I got new 3845 router and logged in first time with default username and password "cisco" and i just changed the hostname and write it. I rebooted the router and now it is not taking the default login info.Please suggest.

I already recovered the password.

But i am thinking why it happened....

hello,

There is no DEF username and PW for a 3845. you will have to do a PW recovery if you dont know what it was set to.

There is default username and passowrd "cisco" but we can use this only once in IOS 12.4 T and first time only we have to set up enable secret otherwise it wont allow to login if exit the first session.
