Hi all,
We've purchased 3 Cisco 887VW (VDSL over PoTS) and have been advised they can be used as ADSL2+ routers
I've configured many 887 and 877 routers before for DSL, but never VDSL.
We've followed the documentation at
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/routers/access/800/880/software/configuration/guide/880_basic_router_config.html#wp1174524 but the problem is there is no ATM interface showing up in config, nor can one be configured
controller VDSL0 operating-mode can only be set to Auto also
Troubleshooting so far:
I was beginning to think the unit was faulty, however opening a second 887VW confirmed that there was still no ATM interface
I'm sure at this point it's that the method for configuring has changed, there is an Ethernet seperate from the switchport but I'm not sure how this would be achieved
As for the interfaces, the back of the unit has the usual 4 FastEthernet ports, a BRI interface and a VDSLoPOTS interface to connect a PSTN line
Within IOS, the router sees the following interfaces:
Has anyone come across this before?

The 887VW can not be used on ADSL/ADSL2 circuits, and there is no configuration or method to have it work on such circuits.
Refer to the data sheet
to learn which models can be used with ADSL/ADSL2.

Thanks for the prompt response, looks like we're after the 887VAW instead
