Currently looking to upgrade ATM OC-3 interfaces on 3845 routers. I don't believe that there is an ATM OC-12 interface for the 3845, can someone confirm this? Is it just the 7300, 7600, 10000 and 12000 series that will take OC-12 cards?

You need a more powerful router for an OC-12.
The documentation on the OC3 has a brief disclaimer on the limit from both 3825 and 3845:

Cisco IOS SP Services feature sets are required to support ATM. A maximum of one ATM OC-3 network module is recommended on the Cisco 3825, and a maximum of two ATM OC-3 network modules are recommended on the Cisco 3845.
