Offline licensing ASR9K failed with "Null pointer error"

Hi all.

I`ve a problem with the offline licensing of all my ASR9K (IOS-XR 7.7.2)

License reservation and registering on Cisco was without some problems. Done with "cookbook" and received a license file.

After downloading the file onto the harddisk on the ASR9K, I`ve tried to install it with command: license smart mfg res inst <harddisk:filename> and it failed every time with "Null Pointer Error". I`ve downloaded the file from Cisco many times, but the effect is the same. I`m at the end of my ideas ...

Does anyone know which part of the content should be insertet for the variation: license smart mfg res inst <WORD (Authorization Code generated from CSSM)>?

Any other ideas how to fix this problem?

Hi all.

I found a solution. You have to type the path of the license file in the following way: license smart reservation install file /harddisk:/AuthorizationCode_SN_FOC12345678.txt

Hope this will help someone to save time
