One mac address for three vlan in Nexus7K

Hi Please see the below. Why one mac address is associated with three vlans: 2, 3 and 4? Thanks

Hello,

 

That mac address could be used by a device with multiple IPs on tagged NIC. For example a router or a firewall with subinterfaces could fall into this category. You could track down the mac addresses and see if all of them end up at the same trunk port. Another reason could be a bridge between the vlans. But you really should track them down and see which device is using them.

I think you are right. When tracking them down, i can find these three vlan are connected to the same physical port which is connected to a firewall. so this mac would be from the NIC of the firewall port
