Hi,

I would like to develop a MANET, so I'm investigating about protocols compatible with Cisco, but is not possible to find any implementation about famous protocols (OLSR,AODV, etc), only I find a posibility with OSPFv3. Is not possible to use a different protocol?

Hi @sir_ulrick

I found this document:

https://www.cisco.com/c/dam/en_us/solutions/industries/docs/gov/OSPFv3manet_aag.pdf

Check if it is useful to you.

Hi luis_cordova,

thanks a lot for your reply. In your document only it talks about OSPF enhancements, but don't speak about if it's possible to use different protocol.

Thanks!

Thanks for your confirmation luis_cordova!

Hi

Based on this document, it seems that a choice has been made to enhance OSPFv3 and EIGRP to manage specifics aspects (L3 dependencies on L1/L2 states) described in RFC 4938 (which Cisco authored) :
https://www.cisco.com/c/dam/en_us/solutions/industries/docs/gov/Radio_Aware_Routing_whitepaper2.pdf
