OSPF point-to-point network type on broadcast media

In ISIS as of 12.2(8)T you can specify a broadcast interface as "isis network point-to-point" to simplify topology and achieve better convergence time as long as there are two routers on a ethernet segment. Can we do the same thing with OSPF?

It is indeed possible. Just use the "ip ospf network point-to-point".
