ospf redistribution E1 / E2

Hi All

A quick question, If I redistribute from 2 different routers, 1 route as E2 with the default metric of 20, and then on the other router a E1 with a metric of 20, and the router that's connected to them both sees the preferred route as the E1 route with a metric of 21, is this normal behaviour? does OSPF always prefer E1 over E2 no matter even if its a higher metric ?

cheers

Hello,

If 2 external type 2 routes exist with the same metric to the same destination the route with the lowest metric to the ASBRwill be used. Also if an E1 and E2 route exist to the same destination the E1 route will always be preferred irrespective of the metric.

Please, Mark as solved and helpful all post that was help you.
