Hello, I have implemented OSPF in my network and I have faced with OSPF Redistribution Issue. My topology is next:
Between all 3 devices are running OSPF, but now I need to do some static redistribution and something strange is happening.
For example, if I
add route from 9300 192.168.100.0/24 to FP1140 trough172.31.255.253
and then do redistribution it not happening... but in ISR 4000 database I see Type 5 LSA:
4431#show ip ospf database Type-5 AS External Link States 192.168.100.0 254.254.254.254 11 0x80000001 0x003856 0
But in routing table I don't see this route
4431#show ip route 192.168.100.0 255.255.255.0
% Network not in table
But if I change route, for example to Null 0 or to different direction I will see this route in routing table.
4431#show ip route ospf O E1 192.168.100.0/24
[110/520] via 172.31.253.254, 00:00:04, Port-channel19.901
What is the problem? can it be a software bug?

254.254.254.254 <<- are you sure this is right ?? I dont see this subnet mask before
12-29-2022 12:40 AM
Yes, I set Router-ID statically

this I think because the link between SW-FW is not known by ISR router,
and hence when you redistribute the static route it not use by ISR,
so can you
A- the interface in SW toward FW
ip ospf x area x
B- make the router-id is reachable via ISR (using LO as Router-ID)

1 - ISP Router knows IP address of Link between SW-FW, but through EIGRP
2 - But Router-ID is not routable and, therefore, is not included in the routing table and I can't change it

OK, then try redistribute the static route via EIGRP not via OSPF. are this OK for you ?

I will run lab see how we can solve this issue.

Yes, as I see there is no problem with EIGRP.
Route is added into routing table and distributed through VPN tunnels as need.

Yes because the EIGRP know the next-hop of static route and hence it success to add static route in ISR router.

Ohhh.. I was
filtering this 192.168.100.0/24 route through distribute-list =\
Thank you for your assist @MHM Cisco World!
