Can anyone provide me some information on the VLAN limit of running OTV over the ASR1001

I can find information on the N7K which is 256 and 1500 with later software versions.

Just scouring the configuration guides now.

Thanks

The configuration implies bridge-domains that connects the service instance (EFP) defined on the local interface to the EFP defined on the Overlay interface. You can't specify ranges of VLANs hence you will use one EFP per VLAN.

Maxium number of BDIs is 4096.

This table is a good reference for the scalability of BDI/EFP on ASR1000 (all series). On a single interface you can have up to 8000 EFP per each interface and up to 4096 bridge domains. In conclusion the limit of OTV v

Of course, the maximum number of EFPs that may be defined under the Overlay interface may be lower but considering that the ASR1000 platform does software switching it should be safe to scale OTV to 4096 VLANs. You also have to consider the documented  Restrictions  which are kind of drastic imho.

Good day,
