We have a CE connected to a PE (MPLS). Between CE-PE we use EIGRP routing protocol. Between CE and PE ping works fine. When we tried to ping to coporate core (back to MPLS) we lose packets. The provider says that is all fine with MPLS. Does anybody know how to test and solve tha problem ?

Thanks in advance for your help

What device are you pinging on the other side of the MPLS cloud? What percentage of packets are lost? What packet size are you using when pinging the corporate core?

Thanks,

Is a PE Cisco 7606. Are lost 80% of packets. Packet size 100 byte. Our CE is Cisco 3640.

1st try to ping serial to serial from both sides (corporate core to ISP Serial & the branch to ISP serial) if the ping test successful without packet loss

1-Check the router CPU @ both sites

2- Check the traffic patterns @ both sites

3-Asked your provider send bulk of ICMP packets from the main office PE to your branch (may be the packet loss due to some problem inside the provider network)
