Hello All - I am reading PFRv3 Implementation document: http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/ios-xml/ios/pfrv3/configuration/15-mt/pfrv3-15-mt-book.pdf
it is mentioned that PFRv3 doesnot support High Availability. In realtime, how the enterprise is handing the situation. Do we have to keep the Cold standby as backup to replace the failed device? Can i use the Hub-Transit as the standby MC?
Thanks

Hello.
Transit MC can't replace Hub MC.
There are two option for Hub MC reliability/redundancy:
- stateful (per vSphere) switchover if running it on CSR 1000V;
- stateless switchover - primary MC is running lo0 /32, cold standby same address with /31.
But sometimes you don't really need standby Hub MC, as if Hub MC goes down, traffic from/to Hub would be routed per RIB (without optimization), while the rest of the sites (between each other) will be able to optimize traffic for next 24 hours.
