Hi Rechard,

Check

1) Cabling - use a cable that is known to be working

2) Duplex - either Auto/Auto on both sides or hard coded for speed and duplex

3) IOS - are you using a stable IOS?

4) Change the device it is connected to on the other end to see if there is any change

Specially configure these :

Duplex full
Speed 100

Duplex half
Speed 10

Duplex half
Speed 100

Double full
Speed 10

Try this able Combination and let me know.

Please rate, if it helps.

Dear Sir,

I tasted already but it still problem:

1) Cabling - use a cable that is known to be working

The cable is working, if i connect this to port 0/1 is working.

2) Duplex - either Auto/Auto on both sides or hard coded for speed and duplex

i try to change Auto/Auto or halft , speed 100 or speed 10 but it still down.

3) IOS - are you using a stable IOS?

  This IOS that i use :  advipservicesk9-mz.124-9.T3

4) Change the device it is connected to on the other end to see if there is any change

I connected from My PC to Cisco Router .

can you put your config from the router of the interface fa0/0 and the config from the other side where its is connected???

may be its a problem of trunking protocol.

REgards

Dear Sir,

This config that i done :

interface FastEthernet0/0

ip address 192.168.7.4 255.255.255.0

speed 100

full-duplex

!

Router#sh ip int br

Interface                  IP-Address      OK? Method Status                Protocol

FastEthernet0/0            192.168.7.4     YES manual up                    down

Dear Sir,

I test only one port, i mean port f0/0 connect to PC, and also i connect port f0/0 to switch ( normal switch and not cisco)

and it still not work.

Rechard

Hi ,

Just try

1. use  new crossover cable to connect to pc or switch.

2. if you are conneting with switch then please check the port setting on switch: should be Full-duplex, 100Mb/s.

3. if you are connecting with a pc then please go and check the NIC setting:

NIC SETTING. my computer properties>hardware>device manager>network adaptor properties>link speed duplex mode should be full and speed 100Mbs.
