port mismatching

Hi,

I connected Cisco 2960 and HP 1910 Switches together with default configs but ports didnt became UP.Then I assinged VLAN 200 on Cisco sites and ports was UP for a while and then a few hours later ports became DOWN again.whenever I do "shutdown and no shutdown" on cisco site, ports becomes UP firstly  and port return DOWN again for a few hours later.Cisco Site are FastEthernet port,HP are Gigabit Ethernet port.Although I tried to change ports setting manually(100Mb/Full) on HP site.if I dont do port as  access on cisco site, port never is UP

Problem still continues.is there any somebody who has this experience int the past?it seems a pyhsical mismatching.Configurations are as below.

Cisco config;

port fast 0/1

switch mode access

switch acces vlan 200

spanning-tree portfast

end

..........................................................................

HP config is default(Gigabit ethernet)(Access, speed auto

When you say the port goes DOWN, does the whole port go down, as below:

GigabitEthernet1/0/13 is down, line protocol is down (notconnect)

A speed or duplex mismatch tends to manifest itself straight away, it would be unusual for it to be online for an hour then to go down.

Potentially it could be STP putting the port into a blocking state but again, I would expect this to happen as soon as the port first comes online.

Assuming the configuration is as you suggested, then it seems like unusual behavior.

Can you post the full config from both switches?

Have you tried changing the cables?

Hi,

Thanks for your responses firstly,

I have already tried to change cables and nothing changed. Some outputs are as below. Now port has been UP for 2 days but it is stable...
