Why traceroute have only 30 hops, Did you come across the situation when destination takes more that 30 hopes. Does that mean any network is reachable only in 30 hops.
The default TTL ( time to live ) max is 30 on most of the devices , but you can always use extended traceroute and increase the TTL as per you need from 1 to 255.
