Hello, 

Anyone who have installed Cisco Remote RPD to GS7000 4-port node?  Do we need a cBR-8?  There is no console or ethernet port on this RPD.  Help please.  Thank you

I'm not really familiar with this kind of equipment, but was made curious by your question.

this document shows the installation procedure

it only mentions measurement equipment and configuration by parts to be replaced (no console !!!)

We do not have the CCAP-core (cBR-8).  I think it needs the headend to be initialized.  Im looking for a way to bring up the interface by itself or by a different router (e.g. ASR903) without cBR-8.

You must have a CCAP core such as the cBR-8 or third party device. This is similar to an old CMTS not just a router.

Yes I have a cbr-8. We are trying to get and renew the support for the device. But what do I need instead? Thank you.
