Hi, I am sure this will have a trivial answer but it's annoying me...
I have a Cisco 1921 router and have been using an EHWIC-4ESG 4 port switch card. It has 4 gig ethernet ports. I have now removed the card and I get errors in the terminal regarding configuration of the now non-existent ports (such as 'interface GigabitEthernet 0/0/0 invalid input'). The configuration commands are therefore still in the startup config - so how can I remove them please? I realise this will have little bearing on the performance of the router but I don't like it to be untidy and generating unnecessary error messages!
Many thanks, Bill

Since teh card not available in the chasis, and it was save config, you expected this behaviour.
either you can do no with line error - or write configuration after booted. so current config should override exiting one.
