Rommon Downgrade on Cisco ISR 4300

Hi,

We recently perfromed rommon upgrade for some of our routers but we havent rebooted them yet. Is it still possible to rollback so that when the router reboots, it will not take the supposedly upgraded rommon version?

16.12(2r) from 16.7(2r).

i we are having issues with licensing once we rebooted the router. that is why i dont want to proceed the upgrade for now.

please note that i have applied the upgrade but have yet to perform a reboot

Leave ROMMON version 16.12(2r) alone.

Downgrade the firmware is fine.

smart license only kicks in when you go above 16.9 or later. once you are not that above. then you an still use traditional license.

bear in mind if this is exposed to the internet - suggest to go stable and security fix version.

so as @Leo Laohoo  suggested keep bootloader as it is and use lower IOS XE.

Hi Guys,

My only question is can i still apply back the 16.7.(2r)? I have already applied 6.12 rommon, but i havent reloaded it yet so it is still not in effect. So i wanted to confirm if i could just install 16.7 again
