router register problem

I like to do password recovery on my 2800 router, after enter into ROM mode, I mis-type

confreg 0x2124(suppose to be "confreg 0x2142") and type reset

After that the router come with the funny words and I am not able to enter into ROM mode to correct my confreg any more. how can I do to solve the problem?

I have just checked your confreg setting 0x2124 with great Config Reg Calculator utility

A value 0x2124 means (among others) you need console baud settings 19200 than you shouldn't see funny symbols

Hi Friend,

When your changed the confreg 0x2124, it changed the console's baud rate to 19200.

Can you change the hyperterminal settinsg to same baud rate and see if you are able to accses the router rommon.

If yes then you can again change the conreg back to 0x2142 and things should work fine.

I've done something similar while in rommon mode I typed in confreg 0xf101 and now my 871w

Wont boot to rommon or the command line inter face. I just shows something like C,C,C,C,C,C, on the screen. I've tried using the reset button to no avail.

ANY HELP would be appreciated. Thanks

I'm in. I lowered my baud rate to 1200 and I'm in now.
