Hallo Folks.
Calling SDM (Cisco 877) from Firefox 3 (java enabled!) The SDM software shows Firefox 3 : Java not enabled.
I have verified with other java applications that java works. May anybody have an idea. What java engine is required by SDM?
Thank you for your suggestions.

Hello!
Do you have JRE installed? You need from that package Java Web Start (get it here: http://java.sun.com/javase/technologies/desktop/javawebstart/index.jsp).
If you have it installed (what version), check if you have JavaScripts enables in your browser.
Good luck!

Calin

Thank you!
Java and Java Script are activated within Firefox 3.0, Java jdk6u10 is installed...
But the message: SDM is a Java-based application. It appears that Java is either not supported or not enabled on your browser. Please use a different browser, or enable Java in your current browser to run SDM.
still appears...

Hi!
What Operating System are you using? I had the same problem in Linux (OpenSuse) that the client (Firefox) reported missing Java on every application.
Please tell me if you are using Linux and which version.
Cheers,
Calin

... opensuse 11.0 x64 and firefox 3.b5, just updated from 10.3.
Surprisingly with another machine with openSUSE 11 x86 it does not give the java error, asks for https ot http, opens the popup window but does not complete the load operation, just stalls.

OK, I know the problem.
I Yast try to search for something like this: icedtea
and you'll find 2 packages...one icedtea and another icedtea-plugin.
Install both, restart the Firefox and it should work.
Tell me if it does!
Cheers,
Calin
