I have a Cisco 1721 router. I wanna use 2Mbps internet leased line. I am confused that I should order the V.35-MT or v.35 DTE Male to Smart Serial cable. Because I have listend from somebody on this forum that only smart serial WIC-2T+v.35 DTE Male to Smart Serial cable combination will support 2Mbps bandwidth.
Please explain me is it true?

Hi,
Smart serial cable available in V.35 M/F.
Both supports 2Mbps.
Try Smart Serial Cable V.35 DTE port if you Female V.35 Lease line Modem.
Try Smart Serial Cable V.35 DCE port if you Male V.35 Lease line Modem.

Thanks for your reply.
I know this my dear that smart serial to V.35 DCE cable support 2Mbps.
But My question is about DB-60 Serial (not smart serial) connection to V.35 DCE , is this cable also support 2Mbps or only 1.544 Mbps?
Because somebody on this forum has discussed that Smart serial connection support 2Mbps , not the DB-60 connection.
