I have a 1760 router connected to a 2950 switch and a pix 501 connected to the 2950.
I wish to have a small 3-4 user lan with internet access and accessing a win 2003 server. the 2003 server has 2 nics, so i would like to have one nic addressing the internal lan and one nic dealing with terminal server access and vpn. what is the best way to do this?
should the lan be through the 501 and one 2003 nic on the 501 and one nic on the switch for internet?
thanks in advance

hi
few queries over here with your setup.we need some more details on your ip addressing scheme.
how many public ip address you have with you over there provided by your ISP ..
Also you can simplify by bringing in the local lan users and windows under single subnet scheme and have everything routed via PIX.
Are you also interested in allowing RVPNs to login onto ur Win 2003 server ?
And regarding the physical connections you can interface the PIX and other users including the server onto the 2950 switch.

thanks for your response.
i can get up to 256 ip addresses through this t1 line, right now there are 14.
I need more than 4 ports on the pix; there is a xerox network printer as well.
i do want to vpn into the 2003 server.
what do you mean that i can interface the pix and other users including the server onto the 2950 switch? what would go on the pix and what on the switch?
thanks...
