Is it common for customers of service providers to console into their smartjack cards to do thier own troubleshooting? Is this even possible or are they usually password protected? Has anyone ever tried to terminal into a T1 smartjack card?
I know CPE equipment is mantained by the provider, but I was wondering if it is common for customers to do their own troubleshooting prior to contacting support.

I believe it is password protected, and since it is for your service provider, accessing this equipment is illegal and will put you in troubles with them
Sine you pay them, let them do what they get paid for :)
