Solar Winds Installation for Bandwidth Monitor

Hi Team

               I had installed Solar Wind Trial version for Monitoring the real time bandwidth. What i have fill in the community string if it selected snmpv1/2c and if we select  SNMPv3 we need to create credentialname, snmpv3username, snmpv3 context,authentication method and engryption method.

Both should be match in Network devices?

How to find the network devices for these parameters?

I have a medium size deployment with solarwinds orion, I recommend you to use snmp read community version 2c, it's much faster to implement and all vendors implent it, including load balancers wan acceleators wireless controllers.

You have to manually each device

snmp-server community #communitystring# RO

ya tried with snmpv2c only could u give snap shots for the same...

Looks like there is a typo in credentials.I do not have snpshot on V2 (converted to V3) but here are the details..

Orion:

SNMP Version : SNMPv2c

SNMP Port : 161

community string:

Read/write : leave it blank

Router/Switch:

snmp-server community RO

snmp-server host V2c

Did you try to send an smmpwalk to test if you can reach the device?

Are you trying to connect to windows box or a cicso switch?
