We are having 7600 with POS interaface to connect with an STM-4 link, we are planning to upgrade our link capacity to 1 Gig. Can we do so with our exsisting inventory or we need any other harware(WIC)?

Hello Kvhindianoc,

if you have a free GE port on one of the

SPA-2X1GE-V2

you are fine

This SPA is good for a WAN link at 1Gbps speed.

Hope to help

Giuseppe

hi Giuseppe,

Thanks for the answer. Just wanted to know SPA-1XOC12-POS supports only till STM-4(622.08 Mbit/s) or what is the max it can support?

Hello,

clearly for 1 Gbps speed you need a different SPA  OC12 means 622 Mbps and no more then that.

and 1 Gbps is not an SDH or Sonet speed

My guess is that you have to move to a GE port.

Hope to help

Giuseppe
