startup config

Hi there,

Thanks for reading.

I have a new router waiting for a circuit delivery.  I configured it and walked away but the router later went offline.  Short version: I came to find that the running config on the router was blank but the startup-config had everything!  What the heck did I do?

It was an easy fix: copy start run and then all was well.

I just don't know how I got there?

Check your config reg and show ver (for up time).  Your config reg may be set to ignore startup and you may have had some device restart.
