Static Overriding RIP

Hi

I have a floating static route to a subnet on my router. The admin distance of the floating static is 200, however the static is overriding my RIP route.

Can't thaink of why this is, the floating static should get put away when the RIP route is active because of the admin distance.

Could anyone offer a suggestion?

Are you sure that the floating static and the RIP route are for the same prefix (same address and same mask)?

Perhaps if you post the router config and post the output of show ip route then we might find the answer.
