static rp override

Hi,

   If a static rp configured with "override" option disapper from the routing table, will it switchover to dynamically learnt rp?

Hi Balajee,

Default action of IOS is to select dynamic RP. Overide keyword is used to prefer static RP over dynamic ones.

Static RP are generally the loopback IPs.

Having said that if route to RP is lost, any NEW channel request will be fallback to dynamic learnt RP.
