Streaming Video

I have a 4Mbps Internet connectivty to a Tier-1 backbone ISP. Whenever I tried to stream video from CNN, Yahoo, etc, I only hear the audio while the video (picture) breaks (cracks). What can I do to ensure the video streams easily like the audio.
