If you connect workstations on the hub and connect the hub on the switch while configuring switchport as trunk then possibly on the switch you would get the logg message of "cdp native vlan mismatch" and the traffic generated from the workstations on the hub would be switched in vlan 1 on the switch by default. This would happen if you have a dot1q trunk. Connecting a hub on trunk port is not a good practice.
