Hi,
We have new T1 circuits installed. How can I perform loop test to verify the circuits are live?
Thanks

First, you connect routers and check if it works right away. If they do, you make repeated huge file transfers for one day or two, and check both sides interfaces for any error. There must be none. If there is any, you don't accept the circuit and do not sign for it.
Only it doesn't, you start worrying about looback tests in order to prove telco the circuit is not working.

I have no knowledge on loop test.
1. Can you please explain what is loop test and how it works?
2. After I connect to the circuit, how do I configure T1 controller, serial interfaces and how do i do the test? Can you give examples from scratch after physical connection.
3. As you mentioned to check if it work right way, how would i do that?
4. Can you also refer some CISCO materials on loop test for T1 circuits.
Thanks for your help.
