T3 Link

We just taken delivery of a T3 Link and the data transfer is extremly slow, there sems to be TCP issue and we have applied encapsulation using HDLC and ppp at any one time to testand seems to be throttling the data transfer speeds. when we take off the encapsulation all seems to be fine. Does any one know of any work arounds thanks

i'd start with a sniffer capture of both HDLC encapsulation enabled and not.

decode the capture(s) to view where/what packets may be dropped, never arrived at destination, arrived to slow so TCP had to retransmit or even restart if session was delayed long enough...things of this nature.
