Hello @francis saw

No need of a new vrf.

Established the new eBGP peering between the 2 routers since their own VRF.

R6/vrf RED ----eBGP---- vrf BLUE/R7

Best regards

You can config vpnv4 between two router

Then in each router use export/import to advertise/install the route between different vrf

this lab in case you need to check how we can use vpnv4 to solve this issue

Hello
The new connection between differing ASNs do not have to be in any VRF  they can be peer via the global route table (GRT),

You could then create a vrf import map at each GRT table site and advertised the routes from each vpn site across that new GRT bgp peering. (See attached example).

You keep the interface on the new links under the same VRF, and configuration wise they peer from that vrf. Both ends will not know the other side.

R6 (e0/1) vrf RED ----eBGP---- vrf BLUE (e0/1) R7

if you using MPLS on that new link, than you just need to import/export RT
