Hi , I am unable to telnet to public ip of cisco router from internet , Please help here in configuring that . I have cisco 3825.

Config-

line vty 0 4

privilege level 15

password *******

login

transport input telnet ssh

line vty 5 15

privilege level 15

transport input telnet ssh

Hi,

Check out any acl is configured or not in your router and just change the tranport input to only telnetthen check.

transport input telnet

and in line vty 0 4 configure tarnsport input telnet only and then try.

Hi Ganesh, Thanks for the link ..actually my problem is someone else has configured that password (I know that paswd
)and i want to change that ,if i telnet to my router it directly takes me in level 15 instead of asking username .Just i need to enter username.Please advise.

I am able to change the login paswd, but wanted to have privilage paswd also , how to do that .
