Unequal cost(link) load-balancing via static route

Dear Guys:

I have one T3 link & one 10Mb FTTB link to the ISP,I try to utilization both links for bandwidth aggregate,But the ISP don't offer unequal routing protocol like EIGRP.just use static route between ISP and my edge router.and due to the bandwidth mismatch. It's may have problem of link loading (load ratio)

I think some solution to manage the link load ratio below

1.PPP Multilink : But FTTB is not PPP,not workable

2.PBR or Host Route : Manually assign Host-to-Host traffic to one of the links

3.IP CEF per-packet : difficult to troubleshooting and poor performance ( packet reorder )

4.OER : emerging technology

Does anyone can suggest good solution~thks

HI vincent,

I could see 2 ways to utilize these links if I am not mistaken.

1. splitting your internal networks and load balancing across the 2 links.i.e if you have a 192.168.1.0/24 then break into /25 and advertise each across

the link by using route maps and next-hop option

2. You might want to check with your ISP and see if you can do BGP. You can do the same by advertising different networks across the links by playing with AS-path prepending.

These are what i know. I am sure there must be more
