Hello,

in last days I'm having problems with a Cisco 1812 device.

It works for some time but then crashes and gives the same info:

Hi Vedran,

I do not know in detail what this error means. Usually, however, these kinds of messages signify a hardware or software problem.

My suggestions (all are blind shots):

Check the proper ventilation of the router and make sure it is not overheating.
If there are any modules installed into the router, try removing and reseating them. This includes internal modules, RAM, Compact Flash cards, anything that can be removed and plugged back.
Try running a different IOS version

I took a look at the tracebacks, it appears to be memory corruption. That is most likely a software defect. You will need to open a TAC case and supply them with the full crashinfo to determine the exact cause as it requires tools to poke through the memory within the crashinfo to determine the cause of corruption. What you supplied here is simply the registers and stack at the time of the reload. Once they determine the defect they will give you a version of IOS with the fix.

If you don't want to or can't open a case, I would suggest upgrading to the latest version of IOS to see if that resolves the issue as each release of IOS contains many bug fixes and that is an older version of IOS.

Thank you for the replies,

I have tried both options, removed ram cf and tried the latest IOS, erased the configuration with no results, the router reload makes a forced software reload even without any config.

At the end I sent it to the service and they told me that the motherboard is gone, better to buy a new one

If you have any WIC cards installed, remove them and try rebooting.

Make sure your CF is not full of crashinfo files.

If all else fails, upgrade the IOS.

I have erased the config, formatted the cf and put the latest ios

It has no cards, only 2FE and 8 switch ports integrated

Still crashing after some time
