I have been tasked with upgrading a pair of ASR1002 (2RU) they are currently running 12.2(33r)XNC firmware and ios Version 15.3(3)S5. We will be upgrading to 9.03.13.05.S.154-3.S5. As per the release notes it is necessary to upgrade the ROMMON firmware as well. We have decided to go with 153-1r.S.
My question is after executing the command "upgrade rom-monitor filename bootflash:asr1000-rommon.153-1r.S.pkg all" and arranging the boot statements can we upgrade both the ROMMON firmware and IOS code in one reload? Or is it better to do two separate reloads one for the firmware and the other for IOS.
Any insight anyone has into this is greatly appreciated.
